THANET OPEN 2022 – SQUASH AND RACKETBALL.

When – Friday 2nd December to Sunday 4th December

Thanks to the generosity of our main Sponsors Roe Timberframe we will be running the Thanet Open again this year.

The competition will run from Friday 2nd December to Sunday 4th December and is once again expected to attract world-class players.

Entries for the competition need to be in by the 27th November.

The competition is graded like last year, which was very well supported by players from our club in the C and D grades.

Club team players will be grade C

Fun squash club players – Grade D

Fun Racketball on “Sunday only”

This year and for the first time the competition will include a Racketball competition. Given the recent popularity of Racketball in our club, inspired by our recent Friday night event! we hope that this too will attract the support of even more local players.

It was the success of last years event that has gained us the support for this year, please do your best to give this competition all the support you can, it’s our highlight of the year and much work has already been done behind the scenes to get this in the calendar.

The committee will be really busy over the next few weeks marketing this event.

1000 leaflets will be distributed locally and like last year we will asking local shops to display posters.

It’s for this reason that we have postponed the doubles event (It Takes 2) scheduled for Friday 11th November – we felt that we had to focus all our resources on our most important event in our squash Calendar.
