- The bar will be open from Monday 6th June.
- We are intending to open Club night after the 21st Junesubject to government restrictions being lifted.
- Internal leagues to start on or after 21st June
As we come out of lockdown we hope to extend the bar opening days but we need your support on this – please use the bar. The Steward will wear a face mask and serve at tables. We would like to remind you to wear a face mask while walking around the club, but these may be removed whilst sitting at a table. We are opening the bar a little earlier than expected so there is some preparation to do, including stocktaking; stocking up and additional cleaning. We will also need to re-configure the payment system which will not be ready for the 6th.
We could have delayed opening the bar but we are keen to get all the facilities open as soon as practicable so the Committee have agreed that for a temporary period we will run a manual IOU system and debit fobs with monies owed. (This will not happen immediately and may only be charged at the end of the temporary period.)
Over the next few weeks or so the Committee is planning to review club night. There is no detail on this yet because we have not discussed but ideas are around general format, times of starting and ending and the evening in the week that its held.
The internal leagues will start on or after the 21st June. As near as possible players will be placed in the league position that they held before lockdown
Anyone who was in the leagues and wants a little more time to prepare or does not want to be included should contact Steve Bartlett – e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
We gave notice last year that the AGM will be on the 8th July. More details to follow but this year we are planning to hold the AGM at the club and also use ZOOM for those who prefer to be engaged in the meeting but not travel to the club. We have always struggled to get the AGM supported, it’s only once a year and a lot of effort has gone into this year trying to run the club for the benefit of our members in these difficult times. So please give us your support- even if it’s only for 10 minutes!.
Annual memberships have been moved on by 11 months from their original dates to take into account the various open and closed times during the pandemic. The club still needs to operate and appreciate your membership and continued support. members will receive your renewals as they fall due.
If anyone wants to discuss their personal situation please contact David Cross.Monthly direct debits will re-start from 1 July 2021.
